HelandIanCircleHello and welcome to our family run childcare facilities. We are a husband and wife team and have enjoyed the help of all three of our children through the years.  Two out of three still work within wboosc in leadership and management roles.

Back in ’93, as struggling parents with few childcare options available, Ian and I began to childmind for a few small children, whilst studying at university.  Very quickly, we realised this new career path was one that would give us tremendous pleasure and in ’95 we set up the wboosc kids’ club at the WB Infant school. Within two years, we opened our purpose built studio at WB Juniors and our Play Room on Musters Road.

We worked hard to support the development of kids clubs both locally and nationally for many years. Now, 20 years on, we are still as passionate as we were then in giving children the very best start – high levels of quality care and as much support possible in their early years.  Ofsted recently recognised this in both our kids’ club inspection and Playroom inspection recognising that Helen, as childcare director, “uses her wealth of experience to an outstanding effect.  She is passionate about providing the best possible provision for children and leads an extremely enthusiastic and dedicated team of practitioners”.  Helen “recognises the importance of continued professional development opportunities, in order to maintain their outstanding practice and strengthen the provison even further”.

It’s worked for us and we now have three lovely, confident, rounded and caring grown up children to show for it. We hope it works for you too…

threeWe aim:

To provide an excellent level of care in a safe, stimulating and suitable environment for each individual child’s development and growth.

To encourage and help each child to develop to their full potential.

To develop their self esteem and self worth.

To encourage and develop their skills of co-operation and communication.

To help them develop enquiring minds.

To feel safe and enjoy every aspect of their time with us.

To work closely in partnership with parents and families with excellent communication shared.

SleepEvery child is an individual and every parent has important questions so we don’t mind answering the same questions over and over again to make sure you are happy with your childs future care.

If there is anything you want to know either telephone or e-mail us, we won’t forget that this is your child and could be the first time you have looked at a nursery, even though we have been caring for children for many years.

Helen, your philosophy and unerring belief in making this such important phase of child development fun, stimulating, challenging sets a remarkably high benchmark and results in positive, happy and considerate children who are not only kind and confident but also eat an amazing variety of vegetables and claim that white bread is not bread at all!…… (Kim)
